Corruption case: Partha Chatterjee sacked as minister, Mamata Banerjee takes charge of departments

KOLKATA: West Bengal Industries and Commerce Minister and Trinamool Congress General Secretary Partha Chatterjee has been sacked as minister. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took strict action after the ED arrested Partha Chatterjee in the teacher recruitment scam case.

The decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Mamata Banerjee today. This is stated in a press release issued by the Bengal government. The Chief Minister took over the charge of the Commerce and Industry Departments held by Partha Chatterjee.
