Got married six months ago to settle POCSO case; 19-year-old pregnant woman found hanging in husband's house

KOZHIKODE: A young woman, who got married six months ago, was found hanging in her husband's house. The deceased has been identified as Bhagya (19), wife of Kozhikode Elathur native Ananthu. Bhagya was pregnant.

Ananthu and Bhagya were in love and got married six months ago. Two years ago, Ananthu was arrested in a POCSO case on the complaint of kidnapping Bhagya. Later, the case was settled when both of them got married on the day Bhagya turned 18.

Bhagya's mother has lodged a complaint with the police saying that there was mystery surrounding the death of her daughter. Relatives also alleged that Ananthu's mother used to torture Bhagya. Police have initiated an investigation into the case.
