Plus one trial allotment: Students fed up with server failure, correction time ends today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The repeated server failure which occurred on yesterday in the website where Plus One allotment was published caused worries to students and parents. The issue occured while the deadline to change options to ensure admission was about to end by 5 pm on Sunday.

The issue was resolved by Saturday morning, but by 11 am the server went down. The website became normal by afternoon and the students are worried whether the changes they made would not be reflected in the website. The authorities have decided not to extend time as the issue has been resolved.

The first allotment will be published on August 3. Even then, there is a concern that the same issue would happen when students visit the website in large numbers. However, the authorities claim that the necessary servers have been prepared. Education Minister V Sivankutty said that the issue occured as more than 1 lakh students logged into four servers at athe same.
