18-year-old found hanging at in-law’s house after two months of marriage

KOZHIKODE: An 18-year-old girl was found hanging at her in-laws’ house. The dead Alka was found hanging from a window in the bedroom of her house in Kannoor.

She was alone in the house at the time of the incident. Her husband Prajeesh had gone out. Her in-laws had gone for work. When Prajeesh’s father came for lunch, saw the house locked. When he pushed opened the door with the help of his neighbours, found her hanging.

Prajeesh and Alka were in love and got married two months ago.

The inquest was conducted by Atholi police. The body has been shifted to the mortuary of Kozhikode Medical Hospital. She leaves behind her parents Suresh Babu and Mini and brother Ajil Babu.
