This year, our Independence Day is very special as it marks the country’s 75th year of freedom. As part of the celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon all the citizens of the country to hoist national flags at their houses for three days from August 13 to 15. Imagine how beautiful it would be to witness national flags hoisted in front of the houses of 20 crore families. Let us also be part of the central government’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. However, you don’t have worry about going to stores and purchasing the flags. The postal department has come up with an easy way for citizens to buy tricolours online.
The department of post has already begun the online sale of national flags. One can buy the Indian flag at just Rs 25 by placing their orders through the department’s official website epostoffice.gov.in. Once the customer makes payment, the delivery shall be effected from the nearest post office where flags are available. Along with the postal department, the tricolour flag sales have begun in all the prominent e-commerce websites as well.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was launched as part of the country’s 75th Independence Day celebrations. During the occasion, the tricolour can be displayed without any restrictions. As part of this, the union home ministry had amended the Flag code of India.
