kk

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan on Tuesday alleged that the government is colluding to sabotage the Attappadi Madhu murder case. "Witnesses are widely defecting. There is a lot of pressure on the witnesses to save the CPM-linked accused. Instead of ensuring justice, the government is trying to protect its close ones," Satheesan said.

"The government should urgently prepare a law to guarantee deposits in cooperative banks. An all-party meeting should be called in this regard. The government should immediately intervene in the allegations of fraud. With the formation of Kerala Bank excluding the district banks, those banks are now unable to solve their problems. The Chief Minister is not answering any questions on the gold smuggling case. The Chief Minister should clarify why the ruler of Sharjah was redirected to Cliffhouse. We are welcoming the belated decision to remove Sriram Venkitaraman from the post of Alappuzha Collector," he said. Satheesan also stated that the opposition will fully support all the efforts made by the government to deal with monsoons.
