16-year-old drowns in temple pond; accident while bathing with friends

THIRUVALLA: A student who was bathing in the pond of Sreevallabha Temple drowned here Wednesday. Though Kasinathan (16) of Mannankarachira was taken to the taluk hospital by the locals, his life could not be saved.

The incident happened at 11.30 am. He had come to the pond to bathe with his friends. The locals rushed after hearing the cries of the other students. Kasinathan was a student of MGM School.
