Next week in Kochi, then in Dubai; Blasters begins training tomorrow to lift the cup lost last year

KOCHI: As Kerala Blasters is about to start practice tomorrow for the next season, their dream is to gain the title which they have lost. They aim for the Cup and nothing else. The training of the team will officially start at Panampilly Nagar Sports Ground at tomorrow morning.

Coach Ivan Vukomanovic and others arrived in Kochi last day for the pre-season.

Adrian Luna and Apostolos Giannou are the only ones left to be part of the team. Luna will join the team in Dubai. Giannou may come to Kochi soon and join the team. Victor Mongil and Ivan Kalyuzhnyi who joined the Yellow Army have also reached Kochi. Marko Leskovic is also with the team. The Blasters team members who left for the NextGen tournament in London returned today. With this, the team for pre-season will be complete.

The team will be training in Kochi for a week and will fly to UAE on August 17. In the two-week pre-season, Blasters will feature in friendly matches against UAE First Division clubs Al Nassr SC, Dibba FC and Hatta Club. The team will be training at Al Nassr Cultural and Sports Club. The team will return at the end of August and will be competing in the Durand Cup.
