Petrol pump security guard hacked in capital city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A security guard of the petrol pump was hacked in Malayinkeezhu. Sukumaran (62), a native of Cheenivila Anamon was hacked. The incident happened early Friday morning at Kandala in Kattakada at 1.30 am. The miscreant fled after hacking him.

The miscreant who entered the pump from behind and after making sure that no one was there, injured the security guard. He sustained hack injuries on his shoulders, back and chin. Sukumaran ran screaming towards the tanker parked in the pump and tried to wake up the employee but by that time the miscreant had fled the place.

The tanker employee immediately informed the police. Sukumaran, who was first admitted at a private hospital in Katakkada was later shifted to KIIMS.
