Man dies of snakebite, brother who attended funeral, also dies of snakebite

LUCKNOW: A youth died of snakebite as soon as he returned after attending the funeral of his brother who died of snakebite. The two brothers have been identified as Govind Mishra (22) and Aravind Mishra (38). Their relative Chandrasekhar Pandey (22) was also bit by a snake.

Aravind died on Tuesday after a snakebite. Govind and Chandrasekhar had both travelled to UP from Ludhiana. They returned after the funeral on Wednesday and while sleeping a snake bit Govind. Though he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

Chandrasekhar was also bit and is undergoing treatment in a hospital. His condition is very serious, said police officer Radha Raman Singh. Meantime, Kailash Nath Shukla directed authorities to take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
