Actress Nithya Menen has opened up about her fan who has been pestering her for almost six years. In an interview with Pink Villa, Nithya Menen said that he even troubled her mother while she was undergoing cancer treatment. "He started talking about me publicly after he went viral on social media. Those who believe anything he says are fools. He has been harassing me for about six years. Even though everyone asked me to report it to the police, I showed extraordinary patience", Nithya said.

"He would call my parents on their phones. Eventually, even they had to speak up. He used to call even when my mother was undergoing cancer treatment. Even my father and mother, who are usually gentle and calm, have spoken angrily to him. I told them to block the number. About thirty of his numbers were blocked". Nithya Menen said without mentioning the name of the fan.

Nithya's latest film is 19 (1) (A) with Vijay Sethupathi. The movie which received positive reviews was directed by debutant Indu VS.
