PALAKKAD: The court rejected the charge sheet produced by the CBI in the Walayar case. The court also ordered a re-investigation in the case. The decisive order is that of the Palakkad POCSO Court. The mother of the Walayar girls said that she is very happy that the court order has come and whichever agency investigates the case, should prove that her children were murdered. The officials investigating the case presently cannot be blindly trusted. There are honest investigating officers in the CBI, let them find the guilty. Another Walayar should not happen, she said.

The CBI filed the charge sheet in the court on December 27 in 2021. The CBI had mentioned in the charge sheet that the children committed suicide and that no evidence was obtained to prove the case as murder. The police also were of the same stand. Following that, the girls’ mother approached the high court. The case reached the POCSO court through the intervention of the high court. The court ordered the CBI team to re-investigate the case.
