Another dowry related death in state; woman’s husband arrested

THRISSUR: Afsana (21), who attempted suicide over dowry harassment, died here Wednesday. Afsana tried to commit suicide on August 1 and was undergoing treatment at the Thrissur Medical College Hospital. Kaipamangalam police arrested her husband Amal in the incident.

Amal and Afsana got married one and a half years ago. They got married after being in a relationship for a long time and was staying in her flat in Moonupedika. Police said Amal used to harass her mentally and physically for more dowry.
