Amount actor gets for inauguration and other functions, do not belong to Mukesh, special account under party’s control, says district convener

The propaganda that Kollam MLA is not active in the constituency is wrong, said Kollam LDF convenor and KSFE chairman K Varadarajan. He revealed that the actor uses the money he gets for inauguration and other programmes, for the development of the constituency.



KSFE Chairman’s words
‘I am also the LDF convenor of Kollam district. We are the ones who started releasing the progress report even before the government started taking the data of the government's development activities. We released a book showing what all things the MLA has done when completed a year. As an actor, the MLA is a very busy person. He will get many programmes. When going for such programmes, he used to accept money as an actor. When he became an MLA, the money he got was deposited in an account. With that money we bought chairs, cooler and TV for all public firms of the constituency. There is no public firm in the district without all these. As a celebrity, this is his own money. If asked whether Mukesh is in the constituency every day, the answer is ‘no’ but will be in the constituency two or three days in a week.’
