Actor assault case: Trial court raises criticism against investigating officer

​​​KOCHI: The trial court has raised heavy criticism against investigating officer Baiju Paulose in actor assault case. The court said that he is roaming around without appearing in court. Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court Judge Honey M Varghese asked whether the investigative officer has any vested interests in the case. The court's criticism was based on the allegation that the officer illegally gets hold of court documents and leaks it to the media.

The court also observed that Investigating officer should not misuse power. No one will be allowed to violate the process in the court. Special Public Prosecutor Ajakumar was instructed to report the matter to the police officials.
