Hits on head with beer bottle in drunken brawl, journalist also attacked

MALAPPURAM: Some unruly scenes were witnessed in front of the beverages corporation. The youths, who were in an inebriated condition, were seen attacking some people. They were seen hitting people on their heads with beer bottles. The incident happened last evening in front of the beverages corporation in Tirur. The visuals of it had surfaced. The attack was carried by a team of three.

The team first attacked people who came to buy liquor. They attacked other people also. In between this, one from the team hit a person on his head with a beer bottle. They also vandalised the front portion of a shop. The team also attacked Shabeer, a journalist of a local channel. He is under treatment after sustaining head injuries. The police have identified the miscreants. An investigation for them has started.
