Biker dies after coming under lorry, tragedy while trying to evade pothole on road

ALAPPUZHA: A biker came under a lorry a met a tragic death here. The deceased is Aneesh Kumar (28) of Geethanjali in Punnapra. The accident took place on the Alappuzha-Punnapra National Highway. While overtaking the private bus, Aneesh saw a pothole in the road and tried to evade it. The youth hit the bus and fell under the lorry, and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Vandanam Medical College Hospital.

There are many potholes on the national highway in Alappuzha, and the High Court has directed that the potholes should be closed immediately. Although the process was started, there were complaints that it is not efficient.
