The age difference between the heroes and heroines in movies often becomes a hot topic of discussion. Now, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has come forward slamming the practice in Bollywood.

Taking to Twitter, Agnihotri wrote, “Forget the quality of a film, when 60 yr old heroes are desperate to romance 20/30 yr old girls, photoshopping faces to look young, there is something fundamentally wrong with Bollywood. ‘Looking young and cool’ has destroyed Bollywood. And only one person is responsible for this”.

Many netizens have opined that Agnihotri’s comments are aimed at Bollywood star Amir Khan, as part of the boycott call against the latter’s latest release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. However, some others are of the view that the director was taking a dig at actor Salman Khan.

Vivek Agnihotri's last release ‘Kashmir Files’, based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, was a huge hit at the box office.
