House catches fire in Kochi, woman charred to death

KOCHI: A woman was charred to death after a house caught fire in Kochi. The dead has been identified as Pushpavalli (57). She died of severe burns at her house near South Atlantis Junction. The incident took place at around noon, on Monday.

During the incident, Pushpavalli was alone at her house. A neighbour revealed that he heard the sound of an explosion from the house and by the time he came running, Pushpavalli's body was on fire.
