Centre directs states to speed up distribution of precautionary dose amid rise in Covid cases

NEW DELHI: The central government has directed the states to speed up the distribution of Covid precautionary doses. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya made the request in a review meeting with state health ministers. It has been suggested to organize vaccination camps and deliver spare doses to more people.

Meanwhile, Lt. Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has expressed concern over the increase in Covid cases in the national capital. More than 2000 covid cases and high test positivity rate were reported in Delhi for 12 consecutive days. In this context, Vinay Kumar Saxena demanded to strengthen the measures against Covid-19. Masks were made mandatory in Delhi last week in the wake of rising covid cases.
