Entered bakery to steal, didn’t find a penny; Locals shocked to see what youth did to overcome disappointment

MALAPPURAM: A youth, who broke into a bakery to steal, was not ready to go back in disappointment. On being unable to find money, the youth stole snacks worth Rs 35,000 from the bakery. The incident took place in Tanalur, Malappuram. The accused has been identified as Ahmed Aslam (24), a native of Jyothi Nagar colony.

According to the police, the accused loaded all the sweets, snacks and chocolates in an auto and fled the place. He packed halwa, biscuits, expensive chocolates and dates into six sacks. The theft took place in between 12 and 1:30 am on Tuesday. The accused was identified from the CCTV footage. The auto’s number was not identifiable on the footage. Aslam was caught after inspecting numerous auto rickshaws in the area.
