Protests on flight: Police directs to impose KAPPA against youth congress leader Farzeen Majeed

KANNUR: The police have directed to impose KAPPA against Youth Congress leader Farzeen Majeed who protested against the chief minister on board the flight. The direction is in cases including to kill the chief minister. The police have sought permission from Kannur district collector to impose KAPPA. This is based on the police report.

The request for the collector's permission has gone from the DIG level. The police said that considering the number of cases and the nature of the cases, Farzeen Majeed should be deported from Kannur. The report said allowing Farzeen to stay in the district causes law and order problems.

Therefore, it is demanded that Farzeen should be deported from the district as early as possible. The recommendation to the collector included the charges of trying to kill the chief minister and conspiring to do so, as well as old cases. The recommendation has to be approved by the collector and sent to the committee for final approval.

In the meanwhile, he will be given a chance to speak. Farzeen or his counsel should appear before this committee. Farzeen has been served notice regarding the imposition of KAPPA.

The Mattannur police prepared a report related to the case. The report includes details of cases registered against him since 2018. Farzeen and Congress leaders responded that there is an attempt to take revenge politically and the police is being used for that.
