kk

PALAKKAD: The trial court, which is considering the Attappadi Madhu murder case, on Saturday accused the defence counsel of threatening the trial judge. The court said that the defence counsel had threatened that the judge will face consequences if he cancels the bail of the accused. The court made the remark against the defence lawyer in the verdict cancelling the bail of 12 accused after they violated the bail conditions.

According to the order issued by the court, the defence lawyer threatened that news regarding the trial judge, including his photo, will come out in newspapers if he cancels the bail of the accused. The Mannarkkad special court issued the order cancelling the bail of all the 12 accused in the Madhu murder case, accepting the prosecution's argument that they were trying to influence the witnesses.
