Governor turned Raj Bhavan into Sangh Parivar centre, Kannur VC is a teacher with high academic tradition, says E P Jayarajan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Muhammad Khan raised serious allegations against the Vice Chancellor of Kannur University today. The Left Front has come up with strong criticism against this. Left Front convener E P Jayarajan opined that Raj Bhavan and Governor position should not be misused. 'The Governor's action is objectionable. He is working in a way that is not suiting his position', said Jayarajan.

LDF convener who alleged that Governor has turned Raj Bhavan into the conspiracy centre of Sangh Parivar agenda, has also expressed his support to VC. He also alleged that the Governor has degraded himself like an RSS sevak. Kannur district secretary M V Jayarajan also said that the Governor has crossed all limits. 'In the controversy of Kannur University appointment, the person who got second rank is not as qualified as the one who got first rank. That person has not qualified NET and has studied Economics in graduation', said M V Jayarajan.

Meanwhile, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan came to the fore harshly criticising Kannur Vice Chancellor. Kannur VC is behaving like a criminal, alleged the governor. He was talking to the media in Delhi on the charges of nepotism in the appointments in universities and the Kerala University Senate adopting a resolution.The governor repeated the allegation of yesterday that the vice chancellor has been stooped to the level of a party cadre and said that he welcome all criticism wholeheartedly.
