National Highway Potholes: Centre to Launch app & website for public | VIDEO

Internet and Apps says it all. That is today man got apps for everything. Starting from daily groceries to repairing and maintenance, everything at out fingertips. And now Kerala High court has come up with a brand new idea that they anticipate as a permanent solution for the burning issue of our now country. Thinking what?


Central government sources said that a special mobile app and online system will soon be in place to inform the authorities about potholes and pathetic conditions on the national highway anytime anywhere. The new system is being prepared by the National Highways Authority. A time limit will be fixed for taking action on the complaints received. Sources in the central government have also informed that in case of default, a provision will be made to levy punitive measures including fines.

According to the latest reports, an average of 2300 people loses their lives in the country every year due to accidents that too caused by potholes. This is stated in the figures from 2016 to 2020 released by the Union Ministry of Surface Transport.
