THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former minister KT Jaleel said that some people are trying to portray him as a traitor and hang him because of his controversial 'Azad Kashmir' Facebook post. Jaleel said in the assembly that even after withdrawing the controversial remark, these people were not ready to leave him alone.
According to Jaleel, people including Nehru had used the term Azad Kashmir with inverted commas. "Those who turned desperate to tighten the noose against me after listening to the accusations raised by some people have come up to hang me as a traitor. Some have even booked me a ticket to Pakistan. It is painful that some members of this Assembly are also supporting it. Nowhere in my post is the term Indian invasion used. I don't have any issues with political criticism. However, I want to tell them not to take the flame of treason and try to set fire to other people's heads," Jaleel said.
