Three youths held for sexually abusing minor girls of nun’s convent in capital city, arrested were girls’ friends

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three minor girls of a nun’s convent were sexually abused in Kadinamkulam. The police have arrested three youths in connection with the incident. The arrested have been identified as Merson, Renjith and Arun of Valiyathura.

The girls joined the nunnery three months ago. While returning after seeing the girls, the youths accidentally appeared before the patrolling team. They were detained and when interrogated revealed about the sexual abuse.

The reports that come in say those arrested were the girls' friends. Unconfirmed reports said they were sexually abused after giving alcohol. The Kadinamkulam police registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act.
