Vizhinjam strike; Latin Archdiocese to approach court, will file plea tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Latin Archdiocese has approached the High Court seeking to add them as a party to the plea filed by the Adani Group against the Vizhinjam strike. The Archdiocese will file a petition tomorrow in the court regarding this. The Latin Archdiocese stated that the construction of the Vizhinjam port poses danger to the fishing community.

At the same time, representatives of the archdiocese did not attend the ministerial discussion scheduled for today to resolve the Vizhinjam strike. The Archdiocese explained that they had not received notice of the meeting. But the minister's office clarified that the protesters were officially informed.
