THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan turned emotional when he recounted an experience from his life during the presentation of the adjournment motion notice demanding action against the drug menace. Speaking about the necessity to take stern action against the use of drugs, Satheesan turned emotional when he opened up about his friend's son who became a drug addict while studying in college.
"This happened to my best friend's son. I knew him from his childhood and I used to carry him when he was a child. He completed his studies from a prominent engineering college. But today he is a drug addict. He has been admitted to the drug de-addiction centre for the second time. We are hoping and praying that he will overcome the addiction and come back smart," he said.
