Auto driver arrested for sexually abusing passenger in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: An auto driver has been arrested for sexually abusing a passenger. The arrested has been identified as Jaleesh Babu (41). The incident related to the case happened at 7:30 pm on last Thursday.

The woman got into Jaleesh's auto after work. She knew the auto driver. He diverted the auto during the journey and took her to a forest in Irulkunnu and sexually abused her. She lodged a complaint with the police after the incident.

The police investigating the case arrested him yesterday following the directive of the district police chief. The accused produced in the court has been remanded.
