IDUKKI: The INTUC workers demanded high wages to unload glass sheets from the lorry. The workers thrashed the employees of the firm when they unloaded the sheets. The attack of the INTUC was at a wholesale firm in Adimaly. There were five glass sheets to be unloaded from the lorry. They demanded an amount of Rs 5000 for it. However, the owner was willing to pay only Rs 1500. With this, the workers returned from there.

The employees of the shop unloaded the sheets as the vehicle had to be sent back. Soon the workers returned and thrashed the employees for unloading the sheets from the vehicle. Among the thrashed include workers from other states. Pradeep Mahanta, Narad Burman and Sukhlal Sinha were those thrashed and they have been admitted at Adimaly Taluk Hospital.
