Bride beaten to death in capital city, husband arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth beat his wife to death at Varkala in the capital city. The victim has been identified as Nikitha (26) of Alappuzha. The police have arrested her husband Anish, a native of Varkala. The incident happened Tuesday early morning at 2 am.

The two engaged in a verbal dispute this morning and in a fit of rage, Anish hit her on her head with a lamp and then stabbed her. Though she was immediately rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.

The two got married three months ago and they went abroad and returned home ten days ago.
