Kills Malayali wife by slitting throat, migrant worker commits suicide after committing crime

KOCHI: A migrant worker committed suicide after killing his Malayali wife. The incident took place this morning at Pinarmunda in Ernakulam. The dead is Lija (41), a native of Kunnathunadu Pallikkara. After committing the crime, her husband Shukru committed suicide by hanging.

Lija was found with her throat slit. She died at Ernakulam Medical Trust Hospital this morning. The couple have three children aged 12,10, and seven. They were estranged for quite some time.
