THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief K Sudhakaran said that it is unfortunate that the G23 leaders could not be accommodated. While talking to a channel, he said that he wanted a good relationship with those who tried for rectification and asked the Gandhi family about this but did not yield any results.

‘The problem is critics cannot be accommodated. If Shashi Tharoor contests for the post of AICC president, let the people of Kerala cast their conscience vote. Gandhi family wants Ashok Gehlot as president. KPCC will not seek votes for any candidate. Having competition will benefit the party,’ said Sudhakaran.

Meantime, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi reached Sriperumputhur ahead of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Rahul Gandhi will reach Thiruvananthapuram airport by noon and then will go to Kanyakumari by helicopter at 1 pm. He will pay a visit to Thiruvallur Memorial, Vivekananda Memorial and Kamaraj Memorial. Then will reach Gandhi Mandapam and take part in a prayer meeting and receive the tricolor flag used throughout the journey.

K C Venugopal said Rahul Gandhi is interacting with the people by walking more than 3500 kilometers in six months to meet the challenges facing the country.
