Sweet concept of Onam

Onam is a sweet concept in Malayali's mind. The message of Onam is to make everyone's dream of living in the midst of prosperity and happiness come true at least one day. If we think that we can rejoice after completely getting rid of our privations, sorrows and financial difficulties, then perhaps this birth will not be enough for many. However, Thiruvonam is also a day that reminds us that we can be happy despite having all such difficulties.

It is gratifying that the Onam celebrations started after providing the salaries to the grief-stricken transport workers. One cannot help but appreciate the policemen who maintain law and order on the road without being able to go home to celebrate Onam with their dear ones. During Onam, there will be many who will take advantage of the festival season to steal. Therefore, collective efforts should be made to pay more attention without giving all the responsibility to the police. People, especially those riding two-wheelers, should take caution not to drive under the influence of festivity. The distribution of a kit of condiments to every family during Onam is quite a welcome thing. A great feature of the new era is that even the rich don't turn down free Onam kits. Apart from the reminder of a prosperous life, Onam also conveys a message to put an end to animosity and hatred.
