Charles III proclaimed King of Britain in historic ceremony

LONDON: Queen Elizabeth's son Charles III has been officially proclaimed the King of Britain. The ceremony was held at St. James's Palace in Britain. Charles, who is seventy-three-year-old, also has the distinction of being Britain's oldest monarch.

Queen Elizabeth passed away on September 8. She died at Balmoral Palace in Scotland. Elizabeth was Britain's longest reigning monarch. The Queen passed away in the 70th year of her coronation.

Charles III addressed the nation after the Queen's death. He recalled that Queen Elizabeth was a person who put her life aside to serve the people and made many sacrifices to fulfill her duties.
