DOHA: A Malayali girl was found dead inside a school bus in Qatar. The victim is Minsa Mariam Jacob, youngest daughter of Abhilash Chacko and Soumya Chacko, a native of Chingavanam in Kottayam. Minsa was a KG One student of Al Wakra Spring Field Kindergarten. The incident happened yesterday.

Minsa, who was in the locked bus for four hours, was found in the bus after school hours in the afternoon. Minsa was found dead when the driver and helper arrived to drop them home. Though the child was taken to Wakra Hospital, her life could not be saved. The bus was parked in an open area. The maximum temperature across Qatar on Sunday was 36 degree Celsius to 43 degree Celsius. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

The Ministry of Education in Qatar mourned the death of the child. Due to the carelessness of the staffs, they did not know that the child was inside the bus. The ministry said an investigation has been initiated into the incident and strict action will be taken against those responsible.

It was the child’s fourth birthday yesterday. Her sister Mikha Jacob is studying in the third standard of MES Indian School. Her body will be flown to India once the formalities are completed.
