Couple arrested with drugs in capital city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A couple who are nursing students were arrested with drugs. The couple travelling on a bike was caught during an excise checking at Chakkai Bypass in Thiruvananthapuram. They had 200 nitrazepam tablets in their possession. The checking was led by excise circle inspector S S Shiju. Prajin (27), a native of Chirayinkeezhu and his wife Darshana (22), were arrested.

Prajin and Darshana were final year nursing students. Apart from inspector S S Shiju, preventive officer Biju Kumar, civil excise officers Krishna Prasad, Ajith, Altaf, Abhijith and women civil excise officer Sajina were in the team.
