Four CPM leaders suspended over attack at Kayamkulam taluk hospital

ALAPPUZHA: CPM has suspended four local leaders over the attack at Kayamkulam taluk hospital. Action has been taken against branch secretaries Arun Anthappan, Sudhir Yusuf, DYFI block vice president Sajid and party member Vinod.

The attack took place last Friday. They smashed hospital equipments. On the basis of the CCTV footage, the Kayamkulam police had registered a case against four CPM workers and eight persons who were known to have been seen.

It was decided to take action against them in a meeting held yesterday under the leadership of CPM state secretariat member Saji Cherian and district secretary R Nasser. The meeting also decided to appoint a two-member inquiry commission to investigate the incident.
