'All good things must come to an end'; Robin Uthappa announces retirement

BENGALURU: Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa has announced his retirement from all formats, including international cricket. The cricketer announced his retirement a little while ago through social media.

'It's been 20 years since I started playing professional cricket, and it has been my greatest honour to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you all ❤️' Uthappa wrote on his social media page.

Uthappa was a member of the Indian team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni that won the T20 World Cup in 2007. He has scored 934 runs in 46 ODIs and 249 runs in 13 T20Is for India.

Uthappa has also played several crucial innings in the IPL for franchises such as Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. He has scored 4952 runs in 205 matches with a strike rate of 130.
