NEDUMKANDAM: A complaint has been lodged with the police regarding an attack on a resort in Ramakalmedu over the quantity of chicken in fried rice. A five-member gang, under the influence of alcohol, created an atmosphere of terror for one and a half hours by smashing tables and plates. An attempt was also made to assault the resort employee.

The incident took place on Wednesday at 10:30 pm. The team arrived at Ramakalmedu Zieon Hills Resort and asked for food including fried rice. As per the staff, a person in the group said the chicken content in fried rice is less and broke the plate demanding more chicken. The tables were also damaged. Meanwhile, another person in the group twisted the hand of Anu Mathew, a staff, and tried to beat him.

After the incident, the owners of the resort and the office-bearers of the trade organization Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi lodged a complaint with the Nedumkandam police. Nedumkandam police informed that a case has been registered and investigation has started. But the accused youths say that they were not given the food they had ordered, and after that there wasn't any physical or violent altercation but only a verbal argument.
