Panchayat member dies after hit by train on platform; tragic end for woman who tried to save him

KOLLAM: Two including a grama panchayat member, died after hit by a train. The accident happened at Kollam Avaneeswaram railway station. The dead have been identified as Vilakudy panchayat member Rahim Kutty and Kunnikode native Sajeena. Sajeena met with the accident while trying to enter the platform. The train fatally knocked down Sajeena while she was trying to save Rahim Kutty.

She died on the spot itself. Seriously injured Rahim died in the hospital. The bodies of both are kept in the mortuary of the hospital.
