THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that youngsters should shift their attention to the field of new ventures and be ready to take up the challenges. He also said that government jobs should not be the only goal of youngsters. He was inaugurating the concluding session of the two-day youth boot camp organized by the Kerala Institute of Entrepreneurship Development.
"Kerala has the most support and encouragement for young entrepreneurs. Various government agencies like K-DISC, ASAP, Startup Mission and KIED are there to provide support. Entrepreneurs can get loans up to Rs 2 crore without interest from KFC. KFC will also provide loans up to Rs 10 crore at 5 per cent interest. There should be innovative ideas on how to industrially utilize the available materials in our state," the minister said. He said that success lies in adding value through new ventures and turning them into products.
