16-year-old girl commits suicide as mother did not cook her favourite food for dinner

DEHRADUN: A 16-year-old girl was found hanging after her mother did not cook her favourite food. The victim is a resident of Raipur in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The incident happened the other day.

'The girl did not bother to eat the food her mother had prepared for dinner. The girl had a fight with her mother for not cooking her favourite food. In a fit of rage, she entered the room and closed the door. The family did not take it seriously in the beginning but when she failed to open the door after a long time, her relatives knocked on the door but there was no response. When they later broke the door and entered, found her hanging. Though she was taken to the hospital immediately, she was declared dead by then.
