THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man was brutally thrashed by KSRTC employees in front of his daughter. The incident happened at Kattakkada depot in Thiruvananthapuram. The victim has been identified as Preman, a native of Amachal. A dispute that broke out over the concession of his daughter led to the attack. The visuals of the incident have been released.

The incident happened Tuesday morning. Preman and his daughter came to the depot to apply for the concession. Her friend had also accompanied her. The employees said that if the concession has to be given, degree course certificate has to be produced. However, Preman said that he is behind this for three months and requested to issue the concession. The employees were not ready to issue it. The argument over this led to the attack.

Preman said this kind of action by the employees is the cause of this situation of KSRTC and this angered the employees. He was dragged to the room in the depot and beaten. She requested them several times not to attack him. However, they were not ready to withdraw from it. She was also attacked when tried to stop the employees. They then sought treatment at the hospital. A complaint has been lodged with the Kattakkada police over the incident.

Meantime, Transport Minister Antony Raju responded that a government office is not a place to show their bodily strength. The minister has sought a report from the MD on the incident.
