Woman, son found dead in river; son was tied to mother’s body

THRISSUR: A woman and her son were found dead in the river near Kumbuzha bridge in Kecheri. Hasna (26), daughter of late Kunju Muhammed of Chiranallur and son Ronak Jahan aged three and a half years old are the dead. The bodies of the two were found in the river Tuesday morning at 11 am. Ronak was found tied to Hasna’s body. Initial reports said that it is a case of suicide. The reason for the death is not known. The police have started an investigation.

The two left home in the pretext of leaving Ronak to the anganawadi. In a search conducted, their bodies were found. Hasna estranged from her husband was staying with her parents for the past four years.
