Rahul Gandhi won't go to Delhi, Bharat Jodo Yatra to continue, Sonia Gandhi calls KC Venugopal for urgent talks in Delhi

ALAPPUZHA: It is reported that Rahul Gandhi will not go to Delhi by taking a break from Bharat Jodo Yatra. Earlier there were reports that Rahul would go to Delhi to visit his mother Sonia Gandhi, who went for treatment to London and would return on Friday. Meanwhile, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, who was in Cherthala for Bharat Jodo Yatra, went to Delhi after being called by Sonia Gandhi.

Sonia Gandhi held talks with Venugopal after various PCCs passed a resolution not to accept anyone other than Rahul Gandhi as the president.

At the same time, Shashi Tharoor MP clarified that he will withdraw if Rahul contests for the post of president. But Ashok Gehlot has put forward a condition that he would become the President only if the person he recommends is made the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
