SIVAGIRI: The 95th Mahasamadhi of Sree Narayana Guru will be celebrated with devotion and rituals across the land today.
The public function and the fasting yagna will be inaugurated by Goa Governor, Adv. PS Sreedharan Pillai at 10 am in Sivagiri, where Guru attained his final Mahasamadhi. The function will be presided by the President of the Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, Swami Sachidananda.
Dharma Sangham Trust general secretary, Swami Ritambharananda and treasurer, Swami Saradhananda will deliver blessing speeches. The secretary of Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha, Swami Guruprasad, Swami Bodhananda will give the memorial speech and MLA, Adv. V Joy will deliver the main speech.
Varkala Municipal Chairman, KM Lagi, Dr. CK Ravi, secretary of the celebratory committee, Swami Vishalanda will also address the function.
During the function the memoir of KP Kaiyalakal will be released when Governor, Adv. PS Sreedharan Pillai receives the book from Swami Sachidananda.
There will be special rituals and havanam, which will begin early morning at 5 am. At 7 am there will be a talk by Dr. Seerapani.
