CHENNAI: Actress Jayakumari who once shone in South Indian films is now seeking financial help for her medical treatment. She was popular for her glamorous roles. Jayakumari, who started her film career through the Malayalam film 'Collector Malathi' in 1967, has acted in more than two hundred films in various languages. She made her acting debut at the age of 16.
The actress has now been admitted to a government hospital in Chennai due to serious kidney ailment. She is seeking help for her treatment.
Her pictures from the hospital are circulating on social media. Her colleagues including Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth helped her financially. Her husband Abdullah died years ago. She has a son and two daughters.
