Taj Mahal in Tirurangadi native's front yard is sight to behold, cost of construction is surprising

TIRURANGADI: Although not as a memorial to anyone, Manarikkal Musthafa, a Tirurangadi native has built a Taj Mahal. He has done this just for the satisfaction of the artist in him. The 160 cm high and 250 cm wide Taj Mahal was built in the front yard of Mustafha's residence in Tirurangadi East using multiwood sheets is a sight to behold.

Musthafa worked in Abu Dhabi for 15 years and has been a goods auto driver in Tirurangadi for 20 years. This 'Taj Mahal' was built in his free time. It took him three years to complete the work. A total of Rs 50,000 was spent on the replica construction. A sound box and lights are installed for music and lights.

There are four 'kubba' and 24 windows that can be removed and reattached. Musthafa had no artistic training but has a keen interest in art. He has earlier built houses, bullock carts, etc. on multiwood sheets. He has also acted in a movie-Sakhavinte Priyasakhi.
